Davis Decorative Hardware is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our team as a Counter Sales & Warehouse Support Associate.

This is a true multifunctional position that combines customer-facing counter sales responsibilities with hands-on warehouse support. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, enjoys staying busy, and is willing to contribute wherever needed to help the team succeed. This is not a desk-only position and is not a counter-only position. Success in this role requires equal commitment to serving customers and supporting warehouse operations. 

What You'll Do

Customer Service & Counter Sales

• Assist walk-in customers with product selection and purchases
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers professionally
• Process sales orders accurately
• Handle cash, credit card, and other customer transactions
• Maintain accurate customer and order records
• Research product availability, pricing, and inventory using company systems

Warehouse & Inventory Support

• Receive incoming inventory
• Stock shelves, bins, and warehouse locations
• Pull and stage customer orders
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities
• Organize inventory and maintain a clean warehouse environment
• Support inventory accuracy and warehouse operations
• Work closely with warehouse, purchasing, accounting, and sales teams

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This position requires spending approximately 50% or more of the workday in our warehouse environment.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a warehouse that is not temperature controlled. This means:

• Warehouse temperatures can be hot during Louisiana summers
• Warehouse temperatures can be cooler during winter months
• Work may involve standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving throughout the facility

Physical Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly lift and move items weighing 30 pounds or more
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical warehouse tasks throughout the day
• Ability to safely handle inventory, shipments, and customer pickup orders

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service or counter sales experience
• Retail, hardware, building materials, distribution, or warehouse experience
• Cash handling experience
• Inventory management or order-entry experience
• Experience using POS, ERP, or inventory systems
• Functional hardware knowledge is beneficial but not required
