With over 43,000 active connections in one of the fastest-growing regions in the U.S., Mustang SUD is committed to excellence in public service, living up to our motto: “Second to None—Providing Life’s Most Precious Resource.”     Position Summary   The Water Reclamation Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of the Water Reclamation facilities by overseeing daily operations, inspections, cleaning activities, process efficiency, and all maintenance and repair functions. This position provides leadership and guidance to Reclamation Operators, assigns necessary tasks to Senior Operators and assists in budget management. The Supervisor is also responsible for equipment maintenance and ensuring the reliability of the SCADA system. Through proactive oversight that ensures compliance—and by delivering accurate assessments of facility conditions—the Water Reclamation Supervisor supports Mustang’s mission to provide reliable, safe, and high quality water and wastewater services to the community.   Essential Functions:   Supervision and Leadership: Assign and oversee daily work activities, provide guidance and support to operators, resolve technical and operational issues, and ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with district policies. Provide adequate, timely and essential information for preparation of budgets, reports and studies. System Operations and Maintenance: Oversee the operation and maintenance of reclamation facilities, including SCADA, pumps, motors, blowers, membranes and other equipment necessary to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Prepare and schedule monthly, annual and special maintenance needed to ensure optimal facility performance Facility Performance: Monitor facility operations by observation, collecting and testing samples and reading instrumentation(SCADA). Respond to inquiries regarding facilities and odor complaints in a timely and effective manner. Ensure calibration of all testing equipment and order necessary testing supplies. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all activities comply with TCEQ regulations, maintain accurate records, analyze inspection and operational data, and prepare required reports and documentation, including SCADA based monitoring logs. Safety and Emergency Response: Enforce safety standards, participate in safety program development, and lead responses to emergencies or critical events to mitigate risks and maintain continuous system operations. Training, Coordination, and Customer Support: Train and mentor operators, support career development and licensing requirements, coordinate with other departments and contractors on maintenance activities, and provide professional communication and customer service to the public.QualificationsQualifications     Education:   Required: A high school diploma or equivalent is required     Experience:   Required:  Minimum 5 Years of experience in wastewater collections and/or treatment. Wastewater Collection II and/or Wastewater Operator B license. Familiarity with TCEQ regulations and compliance reporting. Preferred: Wastewater Collection III and/or Wastewater Operator A license. 7 years of experience in Wastewater collections and/or treatment.   Work Environment and Physical Requirements   Office Setting: You will primarily work in an office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and printers. Fieldwork: Occasionally required to visit field sites to offer guidance and direction to field personnel. Travel: Travel may be required for professional development opportunities.   Conditions Of Employment: Must have a valid Class "C" Driver's License before employment (must obtain Texas Class "C" driver's license within 30 days of hire per state law).
