We are seeking a Development Lead to join our Interior Seating team at Stellantis. This role will act as a technical leader and mentor, supporting Design Release Engineers (DREs) across multiple seat subdisciplines including structures, plastics, trim, foam, and Just-In-Time (JIT) seat complete assemblies. The Development Lead will ensure robust engineering execution, cross-functional alignment, and timely delivery of program milestones.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:
- Provide guidance and oversight to DREs on seat system components (structures, plastics, trim, foam) and complete seat assemblies.
- Ensure compliance with Stellantis engineering standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Program Support:
- Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation across subdisciplines.
- Support program timing, cost, and quality objectives through proactive planning and execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Interface with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure seamless integration of seat systems.
- Facilitate communication between engineering teams and JIT suppliers for complete seat delivery.
Process & Continuous Improvement:
- Champion best practices in design, validation, and launch readiness.Â
- Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency in seat system development.

Mentorship & Development:
- Act as a coach for DREs, fostering technical growth and problem-solving skills.
- Support onboarding and training for new engineers within the seating team.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 8 years in automotive seating engineering or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of seat structures, plastics, trim, foam, and JIT assembly processes.
- Proven track record in leading technical teams or supervising engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and PLM systems (e.g., CATIA, Teamcenter).
