The Ethernet Tech Lead must be able to define communication architecture at both the system and software levels, using SOME/IP as well as other communication technologies such as CAN-over-Ethernet (PSOME/IP, raw PDUs, etc.), DDS, MQTT, and related protocols.

The role requires strong embedded-systems knowledge to understand how these services can be optimized for network throughput and for the ECUs that consume them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the design, analysis, development and integration of SOME/IP as well as other communication technologies such as CAN-over-Ethernet (PSOME/IP, raw PDUs, etc.), DDS, MQTT, and related protocols
  • Collaborate with OS, hypervisor, and middleware teams to enable robust inter-domain communication
  • Optimize communication architecture for latency, throughput, resource usage, and determinism in real-time and virtualized environments (e.g., QNX, Linux, Android GVM)
  • Debug and troubleshoot ethernet communication related issues across hardware and software layers using tools like JTAG, tracing frameworks, and logic analyzers
  • Implement safety- and security-aware features impacted by ethernet based communications aligned with ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434
  • Provide technical guidance to specialists (and/or technical references) in their field of expertise
  • Transfers knowledge internally via trainings and expertise webinars
