Position: General Laborer (Machine Shop)

Schedule: Night Shift (Monday- Friday 4p-3:45a)

Summary of Position

A General Laborer provides hands-on support across the machine shop, assisting machinists. The role focuses on shop organization, material movement, basic preparation, and supporting production flow in a high‑precision environment.

Essential Functions

Daily roles include collaborating in a team-oriented environment with cross functional workers.

• Assist, as required, in the movement of materials or equipment within facility.
• Responsible for all activities related to shop and/or office cleaning and maintenance, including any required outside grounds keeping.
• Ensure that all of the assigned activities are completed as scheduled.
• Assist purchasing manager and shipping supervisor in expediting material as needed.
• Clean up work areas from hazardous or obsolete material
• Assist welders, builders, machinists etc. on-site
• Handle, gather, and transport materials and equipment
• Use power tools and machinery as needed
• Follow and maintain all safety protocols and housekeeping requirements
• General cleaning in the machine department
• Prep and or set up necessary materials needed for machine
• Achieve quality and production goals
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
• Other duties as assigned
