Stellantis Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care Organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, solutions oriented Global Service Commodity Manager focused in Electrical to join the Technical Assistance & Field Support team at Mopar Headquarters, in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

  • The Global Commodity Manager – EE will be responsible for managing a highly talented technical support team and executing deliverables aligned to Stellantis field issue resolution initiatives.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the resolution of product related field issues and ensuring the success of field action repairs. The role will require strong leadership characteristics and technical proficiency in order to achieve cross functional buy in on repair direction and ensure repair effectiveness.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Champion for the resolution of escalated product issues identified though field reporting, various call center data trends, and Stellantis Technical Assistance Resource (STAR) Center Reporting. 
  • Daily interaction with Product Development, Quality, and Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance (TSRC) at varying levels of management to ensure successful field resolution of product issues. 
  • Primary internal escalation point relating to field actions, field support, service action time study, emerging and non-serviceable issues. 
  • Primary liaison to direct and support Product Development and Quality for appropriate and expedient repair methods and communication strategy. 
  • Maintain awareness of all field issues impacting North American aftersales. 
  • Maintain high level technical knowledge in past, present, and future vehicles for all NA sold vehicle brands 
  • Project manage and lead initiatives to improve Fixed First Visit and Customer Service Index (CSI) and other service related projects as delegated. 
  • Set, plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment. 
  • Agile mindset, capable of quickly adapting to changing priorities and business needs. 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality related discipline, or Automotive Technologies or closely related field
  • Minimum 7 years of leadership experience with proven ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external users/customers and stakeholders 
  • Minimum 7 years of technical experience directly related to the design, quality or repair of FCA vehicle propulsion systems and components 
  • Strong supervisory, presentation, communication and writing skills 
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to team orientation 
  • Ability to interact effectively with various management levels 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a challenging and fast-paced work environment 
  • Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of dealership personnel and field operations staff 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering level systems expertise 
  • 5 years or more experience with Dealership &/or Field systems and processes 
  • Existing, positive, relationships within engineering and quality organizations 
  • Microsoft Office - PowerBi and SharePoint
  • Vehicle CAN bus Diagnostics experience
