The North America Quality organization is currently seeking a Total Warranty Spend Engineer to join the Field Quality team at the Quality Engineering Center (QEC) in Auburn Hills, MI. The TWS Engineer is responsible for identifying and resolving emerging warranty issues through end-to-end ownership, from initial detection through root cause identification, corrective action implementation, and validation of solution effectiveness.

The selected candidate will lead issue identification and definition through warranty data, field inputs, and analytics, while managing part procurement, root cause analysis, and documentation within GIMs and Sirius systems. This role requires full cradle-to-grave ownership of assigned topics, including coordination of cross-functional teams to drive timely and effective solutions that address both engineering root cause and field service needs.

The TWS Engineer will assign and coordinate engineering deliverables, ensuring accountability across stakeholders, while partnering with Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Mopar TSO teams to integrate Lessons Learned and prevent recurrence. In parallel, the role will support repair optimization efforts to reduce warranty spend while maintaining customer satisfaction and product integrity.

This position requires strong collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Service organizations to ensure alignment on priorities, execution, and outcomes. The candidate will validate solution effectiveness through data-driven analysis and provide regular reporting to senior leadership on open issues, escalations, and key performance indicators.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving capability with a structured, data-driven approach. A background in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is highly preferred, with Green Belt or Black Belt certification considered a strong advantage for effectively driving root cause resolution and continuous improvement.

The candidate will report to a Team Lead or Manager and should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, along with working knowledge of automotive systems, warranty analytics, and issue management processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical fieldÂ
- 7+ years of experience in a related role
- Detailed technical understanding of automotive systems and components
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Engineering
- Black Belt certified
- Previous experience as Design Release Engineer
