The Vehicle Process Engineering Core Technologies Senior Professional Manager is responsible for supervising Salaried Bargaining Unit Torque Managers and Engineers in the development of Fastening Processes and Torque Tooling equipment for General Assembly. The Manager in this role ensures that standards (Global & North America) are implemented and followed in every aspect of the vehicle design concept through in plant vehicle launch. Must have the ability to champion data driven decisions, manage complex projects from beginning to end and meet project budget and timing targets, and manage issues and drive root cause analysis, utilizing tools such as Fishbone diagrams, 5 why's, FMEAs, Pareto Charts, Histograms, Six Sigma. This position will drive design for manufacturing concepts throughout all projects big or small and will work to develop a solid team atmosphere empowering your direct reports to take ownership of their processes.  The Manager must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.  May cross to other Core groups (Electrical, Alignment). Fastening knowledge preferred.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical fieldÂ
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience related to Automotive General Assembly process
- Project management experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills – both orally and in writing
- Self-motivated champion of change
- Ability to interface with both management and labor forces
- Travel domestic and international required
- Ability to work overtime and travel as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Fastening knowledge
- Good understanding of Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) methodologies/tools
