Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
About the RoleÂ
At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. In this key operational role, you'll oversee the production process and personnel with a focus on meeting established production and sales goals. You'll ensure quality control, maintain efficient workflows, and contribute to creating an excellent shopping experience for our customers.Â
What You’ll DoÂ
Production & Team LeadershipÂ
- Direct and ensure completion of daily tasks for production team members, including workspace maintenanceÂ
- Train new team members on production expectations and processesÂ
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure only the best products reach the sales floorÂ
- Track and report production metrics at scheduled intervalsÂ
- Implement strategies to meet product acquisition, production, and sales goalsÂ
- Manage product rotation and inventory control processesÂ
Operations & Quality ControlÂ
- Maintain organized workspaces and prepare for next-day productionÂ
- Support store maintenance and safety protocolsÂ
- Place and coordinate supply orders for processing needsÂ
- Implement product control procedures to prevent shrinkageÂ
- Monitor and control property, utility, and supply usageÂ
Customer & Team RelationsÂ
- Seek ways to improve donor and shopper experiencesÂ
- Support management in fostering positive understanding of policies and proceduresÂ
- Communicate effectively with store management regarding operationsÂ
- Direct complaints and concerns appropriately to managementÂ
Training ProvidedÂ
- Paid training on production expectations and store proceduresÂ
- Ongoing coaching and support from store leadershipÂ

What You NeedÂ
RequiredÂ
- High School Diploma or GEDÂ
- Experience following and giving directionÂ
- Strong English communication skillsÂ
- Basic computer proficiency including payroll systemsÂ
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background checkÂ
- Basic math skillsÂ
PreferredÂ
- Retail sales production and/or thrift store experienceÂ
Physical RequirementsÂ
- Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterityÂ
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularlyÂ
- Occasional lifting up to 100 poundsÂ
- Capability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch as neededÂ
- Clear vision (close and distance) with ability to adjust focusÂ
Schedule RequirementsÂ
- Flexibility to work weekends and evening hoursÂ
- Available for occasional travel to various locations for work or trainingÂ
Working EnvironmentÂ
- Store environment with quiet to moderate noise levelÂ
- May experience temperature fluctuations based on weatherÂ
- Some exposure to dustÂ
- Extended periods of standing possibleÂ
