This internship will follow an in-person model. Interns will be based at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In a Purchasing role at Stellantis, you will be part of a team that is instrumental to the company's leadership position in the Automotive industry. Purchasing is responsible for globally sourcing all parts, goods and services by creating strategic and innovative supplier partnerships that will ensure the best quality parts for our vehicles. Purchasing is a fast-paced and exciting work environment where strategic planning and entrepreneurial spirit drives our success.Â
Purchasing intern assignments are project-based and structured to support sourcing, cost reduction and strategy development. Purchasing interns are not just observers but they are a true extension of our headquarters team. Purchasing intern projects may include the following:Â
- Support sourcing activity including obtaining and analyzing supplier quotesÂ
- Market test parts or services to identify potential savings opportunitiesÂ
- Develop regression models to analyze supplier pricingÂ
- Work with global cross-functional teams to develop commodity strategiesÂ
- Conduct supplier cycle time studiesÂ
- Complete benchmarking studiesÂ
- Support supplier negotiationsÂ
Purchasing internship assignments are available across a variety of functions, including Direct Purchasing (Body, Interior, Chassis & Adaptation, Electrical, and Powertrain), Indirect Purchasing, Aftermarket Purchasing, Purchasing Program Management, Supplier Risk Management, Methodology & Process, Performance & Value Optimization, and Sustainable Raw Materials. Candidates will gain industry experience, interface with all levels within our Purchasing department and apply their coursework to drive results.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related fieldÂ
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications Â
- Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the internship Â
- Willingness to relocate for internship, if applicableÂ
- Completion of freshman year or higher at an accredited college or university by Spring 2027 Â
- Authorized to work in the United States Â

- Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a teamÂ
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various organizational levels and with external partnersÂ
