Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines following blueprints and specifications. Assigned machines may include lathes, grinders, multi-axis mills, and similar equipment.
  • Choose, align, and securely attach holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and other materials on machines.
  • Apply knowledge of mathematics and utilize manual inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify product conformance.
  • Identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining; adjusts controls of machine to correct errors.
  • Maintain safe, orderly, cleanly, and organized production area.
  • Assist with training of junior employees and program participants.
  • Role model proper work ethics and behaviors.

Skills and Abilities

  • Previous manufacturing experience running CNC Mills, Haas preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
  • Experience using basic inspection equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to support training needs of new employees


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience as a fully qualified machinist required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; participation in qualified CNC training program highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
