About the Role

SCP Limited in Auburn, IN is looking for an Automation Technician to help keep our automated production lines running smoothly. This is a hands-on, entry-level position โ€” no degree required. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy solving problems, and want to build a career in automation and robotics, this is a great place to start.

We'll train the right person. What matters most is a willingness to learn, reliability, and a good attitude on the floor.

What You'll Do

  • Recover, reset, and restart robots and automated equipment to keep production moving
  • Respond quickly to machine faults, jams, and stoppages to minimize downtime
  • Monitor machinery throughout the shift and keep lines running at target output
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on production and automation equipment
  • Support routine maintenance and general upkeep of the line
  • Communicate equipment issues clearly to the maintenance and engineering team

What We're Looking For

  • No degree required โ€” entry-level candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply
  • Mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working in and around automated equipment and robotics
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and a team player
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and work a full 12-hour shift in a manufacturing environment

Nice to Have (not required)

  • Prior manufacturing, machine operating, or maintenance experience
  • Any exposure to robots, PLCs, or automated systems

Days 10 hr 6am to 4:30p M-Th with OT on Friday or Saturday
