Job DetailsJob Location: Central Maine - Auburn, ME 04210Title of Position: TRIO Tutor Coordinator (contracted) Bargaining Unit / Salary Range: This position pays $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience, and is anticipated to work up to 32 hours per week. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility in scheduling. Please note that this is a non-benefited position. Responsibilities: Central Maine Community College seeks a Tutor Coordinator to work for the TRIO program. The Tutor Coordinator plays a key role in supporting TRIO student academic success by coordinating tutoring services, managing program operations, and collaborating with team members to ensure effective delivery of academic support programs. Key responsibilities include processing tutoring applications and contracts, connecting students with appropriate tutors, and identifying qualified tutors to meet student needs. The TRIO Tutor Coordinator monitors student participation, tutor performance, and overall program effectiveness while maintaining accurate program records and assisting with reporting. The TRIO Tutor Coordinator will also promote tutoring services, identify areas of opportunity, and work collaboratively with the team to strengthen and expand academic support initiatives. This position plays an essential role in ensuring that workshops, bootcamps, and other student programming are well-coordinated and run smoothly. Minimum Responsibilities: Associate’s degree OR 5 years of related experience Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with students, faculty, and staff Commitment to student success Preferred Qualifications: Previous involvement in or connection to a TRIO program Experience in tutoring, academic support, student services, or higher education Applicant Process: Consideration will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
