Job DetailsJob Location: Maine - Auburn - Auburn, ME 04210Position Type: Full-TimeSalary Range: $22.00 - $23.00 Hourly About the Role Maine Oxy is hiring a Cylinder Maintenance Technician to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will re-qualify and test industrial and specialty gas cylinders in a fast-paced production environment. Day to day, you will perform ultrasonic examination (UE), visual inspection, and hydrostatic testing, along with routine maintenance of the equipment you use. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically minded, detail-oriented person who takes pride in safe, accurate work. Prior certification is helpful but not required, we will support the right candidate in earning it. This position works regularly with and around hazardous materials, and safety is our top priority. What You'll Do Perform cylinder re-qualification testing, including ultrasonic examination (UE), visual inspection, and hydrostatic testing, in accordance with regulatory and procedural requirements. Complete daily work assignments accurately and on schedule, meeting regulatory standards, established procedures, and management expectations. Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance and routine inspection of operating equipment, identifying when additional repairs or replacements are needed. Inspect cylinders and remove or scrap those found defective. Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized through light routine maintenance. Take on other duties as assigned to support the team. Qualifications What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent (required). ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level I or II UE Examiner Certification (required). Don't have it yet? Qualified applicants without certification will be considered and supported in earning it as a condition of employment in this role. Ability to understand, work with, and repair mechanical systems, machines, or devices (required). Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows applications (required). Experience in the gas industry and/or cylinder maintenance (a plus, not required). Experience handling or shipping compressed gas cylinders (a plus, not required). Willingness to work occasional extended hours and weekends when needed (rare). Physical Requirements & Work Environment Repetitive reaching, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 100 lbs. Standing for long periods of time. Reading and understanding written and numeric product identifiers. Working in a warehouse environment with varying conditions, including cool temperatures, concrete floors, and powered industrial fork trucks and pallet jacks. Using a computer for data entry, email, and research.
