Sonic Summary

info
  • The position involves providing end-user IT support at a NATO CIS support unit in Bydgoszcz, focusing on preparing and deploying equipment for exercises.
  • Candidates should have real end-user IT support experience in an enterprise or operational environment, specifically with desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • A good working knowledge of Windows, basic networking, and the ability to follow documented procedures and log work is required.
  • The role is fully on-site with no remote work options, and candidates should be prepared for extended hours during exercise periods.
  • The contract engagement runs from October 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with a salary of €3,000 per month and requires an active security clearance.

Do you want end-user support work where the deadline is a live exercise rather than a ticket queue?

You will prepare, configure and deploy the end-user kit that Allied exercises actually run on, at a NATO CIS support unit in Bydgoszcz. Two people are being taken on for this, so you will not be carrying it alone.

What you will be doing

  • Reimaging and configuring workstations and laptops to the approved baselines
  • Running the approved update and patching activities to schedule
  • Administering user accounts and access rights from authorised requests
  • Preparing, deploying and recovering CIS equipment for exercises and operational activities
  • Keeping complete, accurate and auditable records of everything you perform
  • Supporting other CIS service areas on the unit where the work touches endpoints

What you will need

  • Real end-user IT support experience — desktops, laptops, peripherals — in an enterprise or operational environment
  • Device setup, reimaging and software installation as routine work, and hands-on time in a VDI environment
  • Good working knowledge of Windows, plus basic networking: IP addressing, connectivity checks, Wi-Fi and LAN faults
  • Comfort working to documented procedures and checklists, and logging your work in a ticketing or ITSM system
  • English to C1 or strong B2 (STANAG 6001 Level 3)

Two things worth knowing before you apply

  • This is fully on-site in Bydgoszcz. No travel outside Poland is required, but no remote days either.
  • Exercise periods mean extended hours. If you like a predictable 9-to-5 every week of the year, this is not it.

Practical detail

  • Contract engagement, base period 1 October to 31 December 2026, with options for 2027 and 2028
  • An active security clearance is required for this role

Your CV may not be up to date — that is not a problem, send me whatever you have and I will come back to you either way.
