If you are the person who notices the CMDB record nobody updated, this role is built around that instinct.
You will own configuration and change management for a NATO CIS support unit in Bydgoszcz — the baselines, the CI relationships, the change lifecycle and the licence records that keep an exercise from failing for a paperwork reason.
What you will be doing
- Updating and maintaining CMDB records so data quality, consistency and traceability hold across systems
- Handling change and incident tickets in ITSM, JIRA or the equivalent, and following them through to closure
- Applying the core principles day to day: baselines, CI relationships, change lifecycle, approvals
- Maintaining licence records — tracking usage and catching the missing, expired or unused ones
- Producing documentation, tickets and reports that someone else can follow, including for audit
- Coordinating between technical staff, stakeholders and management to keep activities moving
What you will need
- Hands-on experience in configuration management, change management, asset management or a similar IT coordination role
- Practical work in CMDB and ticketing tools, with a real feel for data quality rather than box-ticking
- Working knowledge of licensing models in practice — VMware, Microsoft, Linux — per user, per device, subscription
- Familiarity with CIS environments and a basic understanding of networks, servers and end-user systems
- Familiarity with ITIL practices
- English to C1 or strong B2 (STANAG 6001 Level 3)
Worth knowing before you apply
- Fully on-site in Bydgoszcz, with no travel outside Poland
- This is accuracy work. Follow-up and documentation are the job, not the overhead around it.
Practical detail
- Contract engagement, base period 1 October to 31 December 2026, with options for 2027 and 2028
- An active security clearance is required for this role
Your CV may not be up to date — that is not a problem, send me whatever you have and I will come back to you either way.
