Maine Oxy is looking for a Filler to join our Production team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for safely and accurately filling medical, high-pressure, and liquid gas cylinders while following strict safety, quality, regulatory, and company standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes working with their hands, takes pride in doing things correctly, and wants a role where attention to detail really matters. You don't need to be a gas-industry expert on day one. We'll teach you our processes, equipment, and standards. What You'll Do You'll play an important role in making sure our customers receive gas products that are filled, tested, labeled, and handled correctly. Your day-to-day work will include: Inspecting cylinders and vessels before filling Preparing cylinders and connecting them to filling manifolds Filling cylinders by pressure and weight according to established standards Performing quality and purity testing using specialized equipment Completing safety checks, including valve, cap, and odor inspections Accurately labeling cylinders and maintaining required documentation Completing daily fill records required by DOT, FDA, and Maine Oxy Learning and identifying different gases, cylinder sizes, contents, and color codes Safely handling cylinders and liquid containers using appropriate material-handling equipment Operating a forklift when required Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area Following all company, DOT, regulatory, and hazardous-material handling requirements Working independently while meeting daily production deadlines QualificationsWhat We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a physical production environment. You should have: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read and understand safety information and Safety Data Sheets Strong attention to detail and commitment to following procedures Ability to work independently and stay focused in a deadline-driven environment Ability to learn technical procedures and operate testing equipment accurately Ability to safely operate a forklift, or willingness to learn Good judgment when working around compressed and liquefied gases A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workplace This Is a Physical, Hands-On Job This isn't a desk job, and that's part of what makes it interesting. The position involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and handling materials. You'll routinely lift 25-50 pounds, occasionally handle items weighing more than 100 pounds, and use material-handling equipment to push and pull liquid containers weighing up to 1,000 pounds. You'll also work both indoors and outdoors in temperatures ranging from approximately -10°F to over 100°F.
