Position Responsibilities:Ā Ā 

  • Obtain job assignments from LSDI and prioritizeĀ workĀ accordingly, retrieving parts from dollies as needed.Ā 

  • Review CMES and access online systems toĀ determineĀ work requirements, verify operation/production information, and ensure parts match work orders.Ā 

  • Retrieve, download, and verify the most current Numerical Control (NC) programs on machine controllers from various servers/databases.Ā 

  • Independently set up,Ā operate, and adjust multi-axis NC drilling machines using program documents and control media; perform hole preparation, drilling, countersinking, and other machine-adapted tasks.Ā 

  • Select, inspect, andĀ maintainĀ drills per program specifications, ensuring correct type, size, and condition;Ā replaceĀ as necessary.Ā 

  • Monitor machine operation for unusual vibrations, sounds, and warning indicators; notify supervisors of malfunctions.Ā 

  • Check andĀ maintainĀ fluid levels and work supports; adjust machine buttons and clamps to secure parts properly.Ā 

  • Load parts with correct indexing, visually inspect during and after operations, and perform self-inspections with +A stamp approval.Ā 

  • Use precision measuring tools (e.g., dial calipers, pin gauges) and perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) functions to ensure parts meet production specifications.Ā 

  • Access andĀ utilizeĀ control charts and online computer systems to verify part conformity and log production data into machine memory.Ā 

  • Verify machine-generated Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) tape data against specifications.Ā 

  • Train andĀ assistĀ other employeesĀ onĀ NC programs, control charts, tools, and procedures.Ā 

  • Consult with management, programming, planning, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve operational issues.Ā 

  • Record operating data as required and perform tool try-outs and first part checks.Ā 

  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with company and governmental regulations.Ā 

  • Maintain personal and tool certifications asĀ required.Ā 

  • Communicate machine adjustments andĀ setupĀ information to less experienced employees.Ā 

Ā 

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:Ā 

  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15Ā lbsĀ to 15-35 lbs.Ā 

  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.Ā 

  • Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.Ā 

  • Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.Ā 

  • Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.Ā 

  • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.Ā Ā

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate willĀ be requiredĀ to workĀ onsiteĀ at one of the listed location options.Ā

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a ā€œUS Personā€ as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62Ā isĀ required. ā€œUS Personā€ includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asyleeĀ

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ Years of experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.

  • 3+ Years of experience working with precision measuring tools.

  • 3+ Years of experience operating 3, 4, or 5 axis NC/CNC machine tools.

  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout work shift (6+ hours) as well as carry and lift up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:Ā 

  • 3+ Years of experience with drilling and/or precision drilling.
