We’re currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a skilled nursing facility in Auburn, CA. Auburn has that small-town feel with plenty of character, great local spots, and easy access to the outdoors. With trails, river views, and the charm of Old Town, it’s a laid-back place where you can focus on your patients during the day and still enjoy where you live after work. It’s a great setting for clinicians who appreciate a tight-knit community and a slower pace without being too far from Sacramento.
Details of the role:- Anticipated start date: Flexible
- Salary range: Up to $2,340 weekly
- Anticipated duration of contract: 13 weeks
- Contract type: Travel, Permanent, or Travel-to-Perm
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and design resident-centered treatment plans.
- Deliver skilled OT services focused on improving ADLs and overall mobility.
- Provide targeted interventions for orthopedic, neurological, and post-acute diagnoses.
- Instruct residents on adaptive strategies and proper use of assistive devices.
- Work closely with nursing and rehab teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Communicate treatment goals and discharge planning with residents and families.
- Complete accurate documentation including evaluations, daily notes, and progress updates.
- Reassess outcomes regularly and adjust interventions to optimize results.
- Adhere to facility standards and state regulatory guidelines.
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of California.
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of post-acute rehabilitation, ADL retraining, and adaptive equipment.
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Proficient documentation and time management skills.
