Overview

Position Summary

The Philanthropy Support Student Employee provides administrative and project support to the Philanthropy team. This position assists with day-to-day operational needs, meeting preparation, reporting, research, data collection, and special projects that support the team’s philanthropic engagement and fundraising efforts. 


Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the Philanthropy team, including printing, organizing materials, shredding, and maintaining files and records.
  • Assist with preparation and setup for team meetings, including gathering materials, organizing meeting spaces, and providing follow-up support as needed.
  • Assist with recurring reporting processes, including preparing and distributing suspense or other scheduled reports according to established timelines.
  • Conduct benchmarking and research to identify best practices, trends, and opportunities that may inform the team’s work.
  • Assist with developing, organizing, and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and other process documentation.
  • Support the development and administration of surveys, including assisting with survey setup, data collection, organization, and basic reporting.
  • Assist with organizing and compiling data for team projects, presentations, and reports.
  • Provide administrative support for travel preparation and other logistics related to team activities and events, as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties that support the goals and priorities of the Philanthropy team.

  • Enrolled student at Auburn University

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and tools.
  • Professional, dependable, and service-oriented approach to work.
