Ensure Oak Harbor payments are properly applied to accounts, and all refunds are issued in accordance with Company and all State, Federal requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Â
- Audit shipments, billing, and payment records to validate refund eligibility and ensure accuracy.
- Review, reconcile, and resolve discrepancies in applied payments and overpayments.
- Process refunds, credits, and overcharge claims in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage assigned accounts, including credit balances and timely resolution of refund requests.
- Document audit findings, decisions, and customer interactions to support internal controls and inquiries.
- Collaborate with Cash Application and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve payment accuracy.
- Identify trends or process gaps and recommend improvements to reduce errors, ensure compliance, and mitigate financial risk.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years collections and/or customer service in a business accounts receivable environment preferred.
- Demonstrated success in tracking, documenting, and issuing payments to the correct parties.
- Strong knowledge of MS office tools and AS 400 preferred.
- Ability to successfully complete typing test of 50 WPM and 10-key test of 210 KPM.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to interact and resolve problems by telephone.
- Experience interacting successfully with customers at all levels in an organization (executive/owner, accounting, shipping, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to be tenacious when dealing with customers.
- HS Diploma. Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
