The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (APLA) is seeking a creative undergraduate student to serve as a Graphic Design Assistant. This position offers an opportunity to build your portfolio while creating promotional materials for lectures, exhibitions, events, social media, and academic programs. This position is intended not only to support ongoing graphic design needs but also to provide students with an opportunity to contribute fresh ideas and creative perspectives that help advance the school’s visual identity, communications, and outreach efforts.
Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the APLA Administrative Office, this position will design and produce promotional materials, including posters, flyers, brochures, digital signage, and other print and digital communications for academic programs, lectures, exhibitions, events, and student initiatives. They will also create visual content for social media platforms, websites, newsletters, and email campaigns that effectively communicate the school’s programs, events, and achievements. Additionally, this position will assist with image selection, graphic layout, and content preparation to support marketing and communication efforts.
Qualifications
- Current Auburn University undergraduate student
- Major in Graphic Design or a related field
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Strong design, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to work as a team and collaborate on projectsÂ
