Overview

Supports the Auburn University Subject Matter Experts (AUSME) development team by assisting with programming tasks, data analysis, and system improvements. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of new Auburn University Subject Matter Experts (AUSME) system features using Python.
  • Work with MySQL to query, update, and maintain Auburn University Subject Matter Experts (AUSME) datasets.
  • Support server-side scripts, data pipelines, and backend processes.
  • Use GitHub for version control, issue tracking, and collaboration.
  • Perform data analytics tasks, including dataset validation, data cleaning, data visualization, and generating usage or performance reports.
  • Analyze Google Analytics and other system metrics to support decision-making.
  • Help review and curate AUSME data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the Auburn University Subject Matter Experts development team to troubleshoot bugs, test new features, and ensure smooth system operation.

  • Enrolled student at Auburn University

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Python (ability to write scripts, handle data, and work with APIs).
  • Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Experience with GitHub or other version control tools.
  • Understanding of server-side scripting or willingness to learn.
  • Experience or interest in data analytics
  • Experience with Google Analytics (preferred but not required).
  • Highly attentive to detail.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and willingness to learn new technologies.
