Position Overview
Supporting a local transportation company, the Heavy Vehicle Service Technician will diagnose and repair diesel and Class A vehicles, focusing on engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. The company has many long-term employees. They value community, safety and quality service, while offering a relaxed and friendly team of self-motivated individuals.

This role is Monday-Friday during normal business hours. There may be potential for a part-time option. Saturdays are optional and availability will be dependent upon business needs.

Responsibilities 
  • Diagnose, inspect, service, and perform maintenance on heavy-duty trucks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspecting for road-worthiness and safety issues.
  • Work with diesel engines.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to turbos, injectors, and radiators.
  • Research and order parts with appropriate approvals.
  • Perform maintenance on trailers, as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Report damages or faulty equipment to management.
  • Additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications 
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years' experience working with heavy duty vehicles is required.
  • A Commercial Inspection license is preferred.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills & be able to work independently. 
  • Ability to work overtime if required.
