The mission of Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca (CAP) is to respectfully assist people to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency through direct services, education, and community partnerships.
CAP is seeking a Foster Care Visitation Supervisor. The Foster Care Visitation Supervisor is responsible for providing safe, structured, and supportive supervised visitation services for children and families involved with the Department of Social Services (DSS), Family Court, foster care, or kinship placement. The Supervisor ensures all visitation occurs in compliance with court orders, DSS service plans, and program policies while prioritizing child safety, family engagement, and permanency goals.
The Supervisor provides direct supervision of visits, conducts intake and assessment activities, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with caseworkers and other service providers. All services are delivered using a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and safety-focused approach.
The Supervised Visitation Services Supervisor must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in human services, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working with children and families required.
- Experience in child welfare, foster care, domestic violence, supervised visitation, or related field preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position scheduled for 35 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $22.75.
