Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Administrative Support Specialist to support daily operations across reception, scheduling, documentation management, and cross-functional administrative workflows. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth communication between patients, providers, and internal teams while maintaining accurate records and supporting operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service focused, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a full-time in-person position, Monday-Friday, located in Augusta, ME. The hours for this position are 8:00 am -5:00 pm.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally and efficientlyÂ
- Support reception line coverage and patient communicationÂ
- Respond promptly to patient, provider, and internal inquiriesÂ
- Process and distribute faxed documents to the appropriate departmentsÂ
- Assist with obituary tracking and coordination workflowsÂ
- Maintain accurate documentation and records within company systemsÂ
- Assist with the coordination of weekly driver on-call schedulesÂ
- Support internal communication related to scheduling and coverage needsÂ
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferredÂ
- 1–3 years of administrative, reception, or healthcare support experience preferredÂ
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilitiesÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applicationsÂ
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or DME environments is a plus
