Shift: 1st Shift, 5-day work week, includes weekends

Hours: Full-time/Variable 4-Day/10-Hour schedule 
Grade: 20

Compensation: Pay Range: $15.38-$25.63 an hour. DOQ.

A Typical Workday May Include:

Working under the daily supervision of the Airport Line Manager, the Airport Line Technician is responsible for aircraft line service and general maintenance to city-owned airport facilities and grounds. 

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of airport facilities, including the FBO office, t-hangar’s, community hangar and others as assigned.   Maintain clean/orderly facilities through routine cleaning and organization of airport spaces.
  • Perform airport grounds maintenance, including but not limited to mowing, trimming and spraying of grass and weeds, snow and ice removal and removal of trash and other debris.  Ensure airport grounds are clean, safe, and kept to a high standard.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on vehicles and equipment as needed.
  • Perform line service activities, including but not limited to moving aircraft utilizing airport tug, marshaling aircraft who are arriving/departing, provide aircraft pre-heats and other tasks associated with airport line service.
  • Fuel aircraft as necessary to include Jet, 100LL and MoGas fuel sales while maintaining all necessary sales and inventory paperwork.  Perform inspections and quality assurance testing of fuel and the fueling infrastructure.  Maintain accurate accounting of fuel inventory levels.
  • The role of the airport line technician is varied, and you will also be assigned other duties than those listed.
  • Abide by all standards, conduct and policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
  • Attend departmental staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Attend all training required to meet quality standards of position.
  • Perform housekeeping responsibilities within the FBO office, restrooms, meeting space, break area, pilots lounge, and flight planning area.
  • Answer phones and perform other administrative tasks in FBO.
  • Supervise and participate in building and airport grounds security while on duty.
  • Provide prompt and professional customer service.

 

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A Valid Driver’s license is required. 
  • 1+ years of familiarity with commercial mowers and tractors and zero turn mowers.


What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Knowledge of aircraft including fueling and towing preferred.
  • Prior experience in customer service role.
