Position SummaryÂ
Seeking motivated Construction Administrator to join our team at a VA Hospital in Augusta, ME. The Construction Administrator will report to the Program Manager as well as collaborate and assist VA client staff to provide data, and generate reports, as a representative for the client on major construction projects.Â

- Are comfortable analyzing financial, schedule, and compliance data to support program-level decisionsÂ
- Can operate independently while collaborating effectively with program leadership, clients, and contractorsÂ
- Leadership: Must possess the skillset and competence to work with and manage personnel of diverse skillsets.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Analyze and monitor project financial data, budget performance, and cost trendsÂ
- Review construction schedules and support progress and performance evaluationsÂ
- Participate in progress meetings and support issue identification and resolutionÂ
- Review testing, inspection, and quality assurance documentation for complianceÂ
- Support claims administration, change management, and contract modificationsÂ
- Review contractor work documentation and reported progress for conformance with construction documents and approved schedulesÂ
- Prepare analytical reports, correspondence, and program status documentationÂ
- Maintain tracking tools and reporting systems supporting program oversightÂ
- Advise program leadership on construction administration best practices and compliance considerationsÂ
Education & ExperienceÂ
EducationÂ
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be consideredÂ
- A minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience may substitute for a college degree if it demonstrates the necessary competency.Â
ExperienceÂ
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration, construction management, or a closely related fieldÂ
- Experience supporting regulated environments (federal, healthcare, or institutional) is highly desirableÂ
- Candidates may be asked to provide examples or documentation of completed projects demonstrating relevant experienceÂ
