Reports to: Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Banquet Chef, Sous Chefs
Skills:
Excellent culinary skills to include different cooking technics, food preparation, meat and seafood fabrication, ala minute cooking, cleaning and sanitation
Job Summary:
Cooks are responsible for the daily production of food to include preparation, cooking, and presentation of food. Cooks are responsible for the organization, cleaning, and sanitation of working stations.
Essential Duties:
- Must have the ability to work at any station for all daily meal periods
- Ability to bake cakes and bread
- Have a good knowledge of continental cuisine
- Understand how to portion fish, poultry and seafood
- Know how to prepare sauces and salad dressings
- Be able to re-stock the station for the next day
- Know how to requisition food for any type of stations
- Breakdown and clean station
- Clean and sanitize working area
- Know how create a preparation list for the different stations to include part levels
- Check with the Sous Chef before clocking out
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of similar experience in a professional kitchen or a college degree in Culinary Arts
