MaineGeneral Health currently has a Patient Access Supervisor position that will oversee registration and staff at assigned locations.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in staff supervision/office management or healthcare revenue cycle. Strong team building, communication, and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role!

Job Description:

  • Supervises daily staff activities for assigned areas and/or functions with Patient Access.

  • Oversees approximately 25+ direct reports and may be assigned to other locations as needed.

  • Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.

  • Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.

  • Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.

  • Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years with leadership experience strongly preferred. 

  • Soarian and SCM experience 

  • Supervisory and managerial skills required to plan, direct and evaluate the work of a subordinate staff.

  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service and positive patient experiences. 

  • Sense of urgency in responsiveness to concerns of patients, staff, and providers. 

  • Desire to excel in a patient-centered environment 

  • Must be adaptable to working in a face past environment where priorities can change quickly 

  • Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.

  • College degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or other relevant programs preferred.

  • Working knowledge of insurance, third party payor options, hospital admissions, billing processes for the inpatient and outpatient services

Compensation Information:

$25.82 - $44.39

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
