Rheumatology Registered Nurse - Infusion Specialist


Join our dedicated team at a reputable private practice as a Rheumatology Registered Nurse specializing in infusion therapy. Key Responsibilities:

- Administer infusion therapies to patients with rheumatologic conditions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols

- Monitor patients during and after infusion treatments, observing for adverse reactions and providing appropriate interventions

- Educate patients about their treatment plans, medication side effects, and post-infusion care instructions

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including infusion logs and progress notes

- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

- Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and confidentiality regulations

- Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and follow-up care


Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

- Proven experience in infusion therapy, preferably within rheumatology or specialty clinics

- Strong knowledge of rheumatologic conditions and related medications

- Excellent patient communication and education skills

- Ability to monitor and respond to adverse reactions promptly

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- BLS certification required; additional certifications in infusion therapy are a plus

Requirements

Experience & Education:

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

RN Licensure

Minimum 2 yrs experience preferred
