As an HVAC / Maintenance Technician, you’ll work hands-on with building systems, equipment, and grounds—ensuring everything operates at peak performance while supporting compliance with state and federal regulations.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems, including HVAC, electrical controls, plumbing, and mechanical equipmentÂ
- Service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systemsÂ
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, masonry, and minor electrical workÂ
- Complete preventive maintenance according to scheduled plansÂ
- Maintain grounds and outdoor areas (mowing, plowing, sanding, etc.) to ensure safety and appearanceÂ
- Repair furniture, move equipment, and assist with facility upkeep and organizationÂ
- Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance issues, including occasional off-hours callsÂ
- Operate facility vehicles for errands, deliveries, and pickupsÂ
- Accurately complete work orders and required documentationÂ
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor and step into leadership responsibilities when neededÂ
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of HVAC experienceÂ
- Valid licensure in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, or boiler operation required
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (heat pumps, compressors, boilers, cooling towers, etc.)Â
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and NFPA safety codesÂ
- Experience with general maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)Â
- Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, equipment, and vehiclesÂ
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailÂ
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)Â
- Healthcare or long-term care experience preferredÂ
