Glenridge is seeking a compassionate Charge Nurse to provide exceptional, person-centered care for residents living with dementia.

As the clinical leader for your assigned shift, you'll provide direct patient care while supporting and mentoring nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality care. Job Description:

Role: Charge Nurse (RN)

Location: Glenridge

Hours: Part-time (36 hours)

Shift: Nights (7p-7a)

$20,000 sign-on bonus potential for experienced RNs

  • Must have one year of RN experience
  • Must accept at least a 30-hour-per-week position.
  • Current MaineGeneral employees are ineligible; former MaineGeneral employees are ineligible until greater than 1 year of separation from employment.

What You'll Do:

  • Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assigned shift. Determines staffing level and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, and patient acuity.
  • Provides direct patient care. Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Responds to complaints about patient care and related services, and manages through established channels.
  • Performs responsibility of underlying job, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers. Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe and effective patient care.

What You'll Bring:

  • Current Maine RN license, or the ability to obtain one promptly
  • Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, memory care, or geriatric nursing preferred
  • Charge nurse, supervisory, or leadership experience is preferred
  • A passion for caring for older adults living with dementia
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities

Compensation Information:

$37.00 - $64.75

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
