MaineGeneral Health Patient Services Representatives (PSRs) are essential to our practices, acting as patient advocates, access specialists, and service coordinators. In this role, you’ll build meaningful connections with your community, providing care and support during significant moments in their lives.

If you have a passion for exceptional customer service and a natural sense of empathy, we’d love to meet you. While medical office experience is preferred, we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, including retail, teaching, and direct patient care. If you bring the skills and dedication, we’ll support your success.

PSRs have a dynamic day-to-day, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, maintaining records, and acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers. This role requires multitasking, computer proficiency, and the ability to work independently.

The Work:

  • Greet patients, answer phones, and provide clerical support.

  • Schedule appointments using computerized systems.

  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations.

  • Process payments or refer patients to financial counselors.

  • Accurately enter demographic, billing, and clinical data.

You Have:

  • A passion for delivering phenomenal customer service.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.

  • Flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
