Mission Critical Interior Solutions (MCIS) is seeking a motivated Construction Installer to join our team. Construction Installers are responsible for installing specialty interior systems within mission critical facilities, including data centers, commercial buildings, and other high-performance environments. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to safely perform heavy lifting, material handling, hoisting, and installation tasks while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Essential Responsibilities
- Install raised access flooring systems, architectural ceiling systems, aisle containment systems, wall panels, and other specialty interior construction products.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and installation plans.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials according to project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Safely lift, carry, move, and position materials weighing up to 75 pounds individually and heavier materials with team assistance or mechanical lifting equipment.
- Perform material handling, loading, unloading, staging, and transportation of construction materials throughout the jobsite.
- Assist with hoisting, rigging, and positioning of materials and equipment using approved lifting methods and equipment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, lasers, saws, drills, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
- Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and all site-specific safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work collaboratively with Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, and fellow installers to complete projects safely, on time, and within quality standards.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality expectations.
- Travel extensively throughout North America to support customer projects and maintain flexibility for changing project schedules.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to travel extensively for project assignments.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Previous construction experience.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Perform repetitive bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, and overhead work throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
- Operate and work around construction equipment, material hoists, and mechanical lifting devices safely.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Ability to travel and work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as project schedules require.
