Journeyman Electrician

Mountain Wireless is the premier telecommunications construction company in Colorado and beyond. We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team and support the buildout of next‑generation wireless infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Construct AC power systems with voltages up to 1000V
  • Install and maintain secondary power systems, including standby generators and battery systems
  • Work with new and existing utility services
  • Perform AC to DC power conversion
  • Interpret construction drawings and one‑line diagrams
    (Adobe or Bluebeam PDF editor experience preferred)
  • Install and troubleshoot low‑voltage alarming and control wiring
  • Troubleshoot low‑ and medium‑voltage electrical systems
  • Install EMT, GRC, and PVC conduit
  • Perform basic electrical calculations, including:
    • Conductor sizing
    • Available fault current
    • Voltage drop
  • Install step‑down transformers
  • Perform electrical testing
  • Install electrical enclosures
  • Supervise and mentor electrical apprentices
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity

 

Requirements

  • Knowledge of proper use of tools, equipment, materials, and supplies used on construction projects
  • Respect for company vehicles, tools, and property

 

License & Certifications

  • Colorado Journeyman Electrician License (Required)
  • Journeyman license in surrounding states (Preferred)
  • OSHA 30 (Preferred)

 

Travel

  • Up to 15%

 

Compensation

  • $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
