Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer – TS/SCI Clearance Required
Position Summary
Kaipran Services, LLC is seeking professional, dependable, and security-focused individuals to join our team as Full-Time Unarmed Security Officers supporting secure client facilities.
This position is responsible for protecting personnel, property, facilities, and sensitive work environments while maintaining a safe, secure, and professional atmosphere. Officers assigned to this position may work within or around controlled and restricted areas and must strictly comply with all company, client, and applicable security requirements.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, strong communication skills, situational awareness, discretion, and the ability to consistently follow established security procedures and site-specific post orders.
An active TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure assigned buildings, facilities, property, and designated controlled areas.
- Control access to facilities in accordance with established security procedures.
- Verify employee, visitor, vendor, contractor, and other authorized personnel credentials.
- Ensure individuals entering controlled areas possess appropriate authorization and access credentials.
- Conduct routine interior and exterior foot patrols and security inspections.
- Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, common spaces, restricted areas, and other designated locations.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, security concerns, safety hazards, and potential policy violations.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and requests for security assistance.
- Maintain accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, visitor logs, access records, and other required documentation.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, clients, and authorized personnel.
- Enforce company, client, and site-specific security rules, procedures, policies, and post orders.
- Immediately report significant incidents, security violations, or suspicious activity through the appropriate chain of command.
- Coordinate with supervisors, management, facility security personnel, law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and other emergency personnel when necessary.
- Protect classified, confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information encountered during assigned duties.
- Follow applicable procedures concerning restricted and controlled areas.
- Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor at all times.
- Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and prepared to assume assigned responsibilities.
- Remain at the assigned post until properly relieved when required.
- Follow all company safety, security, attendance, and workplace policies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required.
- Clearance must be current and eligible for use in the assigned position.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must meet all applicable state and local licensing or registration requirements for unarmed security personnel.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal security procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately safeguard sensitive information.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective during stressful or emergency situations.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

- Must successfully complete all company and client-required onboarding, security briefings, orientation, and training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous security experience.
- Previous experience working at cleared government or government-contractor facilities.
- Military or law enforcement experience.
- Experience performing access control, patrol, or facility security duties.
- Familiarity with working in secure or controlled environments.
Site-Specific Security Checklist
Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Access Control
- Monitor designated facility entrances and exits.
- Verify employee, visitor, vendor, and contractor credentials.
- Confirm individuals possess appropriate authorization before allowing access to designated areas.
- Maintain visitor logs and required sign-in/sign-out procedures.
- Follow established procedures for visitor access and escort requirements.
- Issue or track temporary visitor credentials when authorized.
- Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted or controlled areas.
- Immediately report attempted or suspected unauthorized access.
- Follow site-specific procedures for deliveries, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Maintain awareness of individuals entering and leaving the facility.
- Ensure access-control procedures are consistently followed without exception.
Patrol Duties
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled interior and exterior patrols.
- Inspect doors, gates, windows, access points, and other designated security areas.
- Monitor parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, common areas, and surrounding property.
- Observe restricted or controlled areas for unusual or unauthorized activity.
- Identify suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, or activities.
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, damaged property, and unsecured areas.
- Verify designated doors and access points are properly secured when required.
- Document patrol activity according to company and client requirements.
- Immediately report unusual conditions or activity to the appropriate supervisor or security representative.
Incident & Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, safety concerns, and emergency situations.
- Assess situations and follow established emergency procedures and post orders.
- Immediately notify supervisors and designated client security personnel when required.
- Contact law enforcement, fire, EMS, or other emergency services in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with evacuations and emergency procedures within the scope of assigned duties and training.
- Preserve incident scenes when appropriate.
- Observe and document relevant information regarding security incidents.
- Complete detailed incident reports before the end of the assigned shift when required.
- Immediately escalate serious incidents, security violations, or potential security concerns through the established chain of command.
Reporting & Documentation
- Complete Daily Activity Reports accurately and on time.
- Document patrols, incidents, unusual activity, and significant interactions.
- Maintain required visitor, contractor, vehicle, key, badge, and access logs.
- Ensure all reports are factual, objective, professional, and complete.
- Immediately notify supervision of significant incidents rather than relying solely on written documentation.
- Protect security-related records and information from unauthorized disclosure.
Clearance & Security Responsibilities
Because this position requires an active TS/SCI clearance, employees are expected to maintain a high level of personal and professional responsibility.
Employees must:
- Maintain eligibility for the required security clearance.
- Follow all applicable security briefings, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Protect classified, controlled, proprietary, and sensitive information from unauthorized disclosure.
- Never discuss sensitive or classified information with unauthorized individuals.
- Immediately report suspected security violations through the appropriate channels.
- Follow all facility rules regarding electronic devices, photography, recording equipment, and restricted items.
- Follow all procedures governing access to controlled and restricted areas.
- Cooperate with required security reviews, briefings, and administrative procedures.
- Immediately notify the appropriate security representative of circumstances requiring reporting under applicable clearance requirements.
- Never use their security clearance or facility access for unauthorized purposes.
Possession of a TS/SCI clearance does not independently authorize access to all classified information or areas. Access remains subject to appropriate authorization, need-to-know, and applicable client or government security requirements.
Professional Standards & Compliance
- Follow all Kaipran Services policies, client procedures, and site-specific post orders.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client operations and sensitive information.
- Remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
- Remain at the assigned post unless properly relieved or authorized to leave.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform appearance.
- Maintain professional interactions with clients, employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and coworkers.
- Refrain from sleeping, excessive personal phone use, or other activities that interfere with assigned security responsibilities.
- Follow the established chain of command when reporting operational or personnel concerns.
- Participate in all required training, briefings, site orientations, and security briefings.
- Maintain conduct consistent with the responsibilities associated with working in a cleared environment.
Schedule
- Full-Time Position
- Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts may be available.
- Holiday availability may be required.
- Schedule and assigned work location may vary based on operational and client requirements.
- Officers are expected to maintain reliable and punctual attendance for all assigned shifts.
- Overtime or additional coverage opportunities may be available based on operational needs.
- Schedule changes may occur based on client requirements, staffing needs, or security operations.
Pay
$35.00 per hour
Overtime and holiday compensation will be provided in accordance with applicable company policy and federal, state, and local wage-and-hour requirements.
