Who You Are

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented  Human Resource Associate to support daily HR operations and contribute to a positive, safety-focused workplace culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional with approximately two years of experience, or a recent graduate with a strong foundation in human resources and a passion for employee development. Working closely with leadership and external HR resources, you will gain hands-on experience across employee relations, compliance, onboarding, HR systems, safety training coordination, and HR process improvement as the organization continues to grow.

What You'll Do

  • Support day-to-day HR operations and serve as a resource for employees and supervisors.
  • Research HR policies, employment regulations, and compliance requirements using trusted sources and HR support resources.
  • Maintain employee records, employment documentation, and status changes within the HRIS.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and policy acknowledgments.
  • Assist with employee relations inquiries and escalate complex issues as appropriate.
  • Track, schedule, and document required safety training and compliance-related programs.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building activities.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Partner with leadership and external HR support to improve and scale HR processes.
  • Stay current on employment law updates and HR best practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and work toward HR certifications.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Atleast 2 years of HR experience.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred
  • Experience using HRIS platforms.
  • Exposure to employee onboarding, compliance, or employee relations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
  • Interest in pursuing SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certifications.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, operations, or safety-focused environments.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Pretred provides a good-faith estimate of compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications. The position is eligible for commission and standard company benefits (health, dental, vision, PTO).
