Job Description
PeopleÂ
- Identify and mentor #2’s Â
- Conduct and document monthly 1 on 1’s in PDCÂ
- Responsible for timely annual performance review and development maps for team membersÂ
- Ensure team members complete mandatory trainings prior to due dateÂ
- Administrative management of DayForce, IDM, Overtime and VacationÂ
- Drive team morale and reallocate workload accordingly to ensure employee satisfaction and retentionÂ
CustomerÂ
- Take an active role in the successful transition of new business/ updates to existing businessÂ
- Regularly attend, and actively participate in customer facing engagementsÂ
- Conduct 2 customer calls per week, and log in CRMÂ
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action plan with customers and account stakeholdersÂ
- Stay apprised of market conditions, and proactively communicate impact to customersÂ
OperationsÂ
- Ensure cross-training among the team in order to support team coverage Â
- Take an active role to support their manager, and act as the escalation pointÂ
- Monitor workboard for the team, and adjust the daily plan accordinglyÂ
- Understand department process flow relative to OPA requirement Â
- Constantly and continuously look for areas of improved efficiency with an emphasis around digitalizationÂ
- Understand and take action to resolve anything in red or “at risk” of missing global expectationsÂ
- Ensure compliance to company policies and external regulationsÂ
- Proactively communicate with the team to ensure awareness and understanding of policies and regulationsÂ
- Professionally represent Expeditors to our customers, service providers, and government agencies Â
FinanceÂ
- Ongoing review of provisions and A/R, resulting in zero reserveÂ
- Ensure revenue recognition and timely action on provisionsÂ
- Understand and drive profitability at the customer and department level Â
- Produce customer P&L’s on monthly basisÂ
- Understanding of P&L, including review of monthly expenses Â
EXPECTATIONS:
- Measure adoption of technology within the team and drive continuous improvementÂ
- Pursue industry certifications, Expeditors’ Leadership Platform and Leader-Leader modelÂ
- Regularly request additional responsibilities to support the team and the departmentÂ
Qualifications
- 2 years of industry specific qualification (country specific)Â
- Good market and product knowledgeÂ
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive resultsÂ
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word) Â
- Proven supervisory attitudeÂ
Additional Information
Expected base salary: $57,000.00
