Essential Responsibilities Provide resident care according to care plans and assignment sheets, including: Safe transfers and lifts (one-person, two-person, or Hoyer lift) Turning and repositioning residents Toileting assistance Feeding assistance Thorough personal and peri care Ensuring alarms and safety devices are properly in place Following infection control procedures Completing rounds, weights, and bathing schedules Maintaining clean and organized resident rooms Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as directed. Respond promptly to resident call lights and routinely check residents unable to request assistance. Observe and report changes in resident condition or behavior to the nursing team. Work collaboratively with coworkers across units to provide excellent resident care. Complete all required documentation each shift, including electronic charting and resident care records. Assist residents with activities, social events, and transportation to appointments. Attend monthly STNA meetings, mandatory training sessions, and required staff meetings. Maintain the required 12 hours of continuing education annually to preserve certification. Maintain a professional appearance, including appropriate uniform, visible name badge, proper nail length, and compliance with facility dress code. Demonstrate dependability through consistent attendance, following directions, accepting feedback, and contributing positively to the team.
