Veterinary Technician Supervisor – Medical & Radiation Oncology

VCA Aurora Animal Hospital is seeking a passionate and experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead our Medical and Radiation Oncology teams. This is more than a job. It’s an opportunity to mentor talented technicians, provide compassionate care to pets and their families, and help shape the future of specialty veterinary medicine.


Compensation: $30 –$39/hr and is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field. 


Schedule: Full-time, 4 × 10-hour weekday shifts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, inspire, and support a team of oncology technicians and assistants
  • Mentor staff through one-on-one meetings, goal-setting, and career development
  • Ensure consistent application of hospital policies and protocols
  • Provide timely feedback and coaching, collaborating with the Hospital Manager and HR
  • Manage schedules and staffing to maintain seamless patient care
  • Foster a positive, team-first culture focused on learning, growth, and client service
  • Collaborate closely with board-certified oncologists and leadership to deliver exceptional cancer care

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or eligible to transfer state license (RVT, LVT)
  • Leadership experience is a plus—but if you’re ready to grow into a leadership role, we’ll support you!
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive problem-solving, and a passion for specialty medicine
  • Empathy, structure, and resilience to guide your team and provide outstanding patient care
