Job Summary: | This position includes direct clinical care, teaching, supervision, and program development duties, with a focus on providing integrated behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and their families who are seen in the Children’s Hospital Colorado Pediatric Headache Program and the Child Neurology Clinic. The psychologist in this role will be part of the Pediatric Mental Health Institute Section of Integrated Services. This is an open-ranked faculty position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below.

Instructor: ● 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ● Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD from an APA-accredited program. ● Must have prior experience in a pediatric health psychology setting. Sr. Instructor: ● 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ● Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD from an APA-accredited program. ● Must have prior experience in a pediatric health psychology setting. Assistant Professor: ● 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ● Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD from an APA-accredited program. ● Must have prior experience in a pediatric health psychology setting. Associate Professor: ● 4-7 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ● Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD from an APA-accredited program. ● Must have prior experience in a pediatric health psychology setting. Professor: ● 7+ years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ● Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD from an APA-accredited program. ● Must have prior experience in a pediatric health psychology setting.

Ranks of Instructor and Senior Instructor will be on the TTE track and given an opportunity to switch tracks, if needed, at a later time.
Preferred Qualifications: ● Experience working with pediatric populations with medical complexity, pain, and/or neurological conditions. ● Experience and skill in consulting with medical colleagues and healthcare staff
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To be successful in this position, candidates will need the following: ● Demonstrated skills in the use of developmentally and diagnostically appropriate screening and assessment tools. ● Demonstrated skills using evidence-based treatment models including but not limited to motivational interviewing strategies, consultation models, and flexible application of cognitive-behavioral therapies to address medical and mental health concerns ● Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team model and with medical providers, psychosocial providers, trainees, and colleagues. ● Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team and with colleagues, medical specialists, and trainees ● Clinical skill is required for conducting brief and targeted assessments, consultations, and interventions in integrated healthcare settings ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clinical information-sharing, training and supervision, and presentations/education to community and medical audiences ● Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and maintain a well-organized work environment ● Capacity for flexibility and adaptability in different work situations ● Experience supervising psychology trainees and educating medical trainees/colleagues |

Anticipated Pay Range: | The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Instructor: $105,000 to $115,000
Senior Instructor: $105,000 to $115,000
Assistant Professor: $105,000 to $115,000
Associate Professor: $130,000 to $140,000
Professor: $162,000 to $200,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
