About the Role

Hello, Paraprofessionals! Ampersand Therapy is hiring full-time Paraprofessionals to support students in Severe Needs/Life Skills programs in Aurora, CO. In this role, you'll provide individualized support to students with significant cognitive, developmental, behavioral, and physical needs, helping them build independence, develop functional life skills, and participate meaningfully in their school day. What You’ll Do

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students in the classroom

• Assist with implementing behavior plans and classroom strategies

• Support students with academic tasks and daily routines

• Help reinforce social, emotional, and communication skills

• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers

• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment

• Support students with transitions throughout the school day

• Maintain basic documentation as needed
   

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred

• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills

• Ability to follow direction and support behavior and academic plans

• School-based or paraprofessional experience a plus
