I. BASIC FUNCTIONS:   

  • Meter materials for shipment according to customers’ instructions.
  • Pick customer orders according to ISO 9001 instructions.
  • Pack customer orders using ISO 9001 instructions.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use computerized shipping system to enter shipping information to meter shipment according to ship method requested.
  • Prepare bill of ladings or commercial invoices on shipments.
  • Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or writes identifying shipping information on cartons.
  • Pick customers order per shipping orders, requisitions, internal masters, or D-jackets.
  • Mark materials with identifying packing information as appropriate.
  • Count items for distribution to ensure conformance to packing information.
  • Pack orders per shipping orders or requisitions or instructions.
  • Quality checks orders.
  • Mark orders with identifying shipping information.
  • Ensures a strong commitment to quality and adheres to all ISO 9001 related standards.
  • Attend department meetings as required.
  • Complies with all safety policies and reports any safety issues immediately to a manager.
  • All other duties/ responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.
  • Displays behavior and judgment that consistently upholds Hibbert ACT values.

III. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Understanding of USPS, UPS, RPS, FCM, and other freight method requirements
  • Strong math, reading, and clerical skills
  • Prioritization and problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn cGMP requirements as it relates to their role -- required prior to working on cGMP service lines.
  • Ability to work independently toward general results.
  • Must demonstrate working proficiency of the English language

IV. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High school diploma/GED.
  • Physical Demands: Heavy lifting to 50 lbs.
