SUMMARY
The Plant Manager oversees all manufacturing operations and is responsible for driving operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing principles. This position leads production, maintenance, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing a culture of accountability, waste elimination, and employee engagement. The Plant Manager is expected to utilize data-driven decision making, workforce development, structured problem-solving, and Lean tools to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance across all manufacturing operations.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Required Skills/Abilities:Â
- Lead and promote a Lean Manufacturing culture focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost and employee engagement.
- Conduct regular Gemba walks and waste elimination activities to identify for improvement.
- Lead line balancing initiatives to establish labor standards and identify productivity improvement opportunities.
- Lead root cause analysis activities utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Responsible for plant P&L’s.Â
- Plan production schedule, communicate and track schedule with production team.
- Direct production and maintenance personnel to optimize and maintain all equipment.
- Run the preventative maintenance system to ensure machine effectiveness.
- Analyze data, make reports, and react to report data to run production.
- Review team members performance.
- Maintain Safety & training system and identify training needs.
- Support customer product & UL compliance with documentation requirements.
- Support monthly inventory and end of month accounting close process.
- Support purchasing materials when necessaryÂ

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in manufacturing leadership role.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and assembly.
- Proficient with basic math and equations.
- Proficient with computers (Microsoft office suite, especially excel).
- Self-starter.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple areas and tasks.
- Support weekend production coverage.
