Who You Are

Pretred is a globally recognized, industry leading sustainability products manufacturer seeking two Processing Team Leads (1 each shift) to join our team onsite in Aurora, CO. Pretred values its team members, rewards excellence, and truly believes in a sustainable future.

 

As a Production Processing Lead in our brand-new facility, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our plant. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

What You'll Do

Safety/Housekeeping

  • Maintain a safe and clean operating space
  • Ensure team is properly trained to safely operate equipment including shredders, grinders, cranes and powered industrial trucks
  • Lead daily safety toolbox talk, ensure team members are adhering to PPE requirements
  • Perform daily safety & housekeeping inspections.
  • Report/correct/prevent unsafe situations
  • Ensure all fire prevention measures are followed
  • Maintain inventory of PPE & safety tools and equipment (fall protection, eye protection, hand protection, etc.)

Production

  • Lead shift activities in the downsizing of tires
  • Ensure team is properly trained to safely operate equipment including shredders, grinders, cranes and powered industrial trucks
  • Direct all housekeeping activities on your shift including inspection and cleaning of machinery, conveyors, augers and grinders
  • Maintain proper machine loading
  • Ensure finished product meets quality standards

Maintenance

  • Periodic scheduled & unscheduled maintenance
  • Using inspection criteria and machine operation data, perform periodic maintenance including replacement of cutterheads, augers, screens, magnets, sensors and other
  • components of the processing system
  • Perform daily operator maintenance including greasing, lubrication, and cleaning of specified equipment
  • Maintain organized tool boards, ensure inventory of lubricants, small parts and consumables is adequate
  • Lead Operator Maintenance activities, verify required maintenance is completed
  • Lead periodic component overhaul activities

Kaizen

  • Work closely with Management & Engineering to improve operations
  • Solicit improvement ideas from team
  • Drive improvement ideas to completion
  • Identify cost savings activities
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset

What You Bring

Requirements:

  • Prior work in a manufacturing setting
  • 3+ years in safety, manufacturing and production/processing leadership
  • 3 + years machine operation and maintenance
  • Forklift, heavy equipment and/or Crane Operation
  • Ability to read and understand machine manuals, SOPs, operator checklists and machine gauges
  • Operating tools including impact, pneumatic, grinding tools as well as large ratchets, breaker bars, chisels and wrenches
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume, dynamic startup
  • Excellent communicator
  • Mechanical knowledge related to processing equipment, conveyors, augers or mixers
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., read displays and manuals in English

What We Offer

Hourly position paying- $26.00-28.00/hour

 

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM- 1:30 PM or 1:30 PM-10:00 PM
  • Overtime may be required, including early start, late finish or weekend shifts
