Some outdoor gear carries more than miles. It carries stories: favorite trails, memorable trips, unexpected weather, and years of use. At Fenix Outdoor, we believe great products deserve long lives… and sometimes, a skilled set of hands to help them keep going.

We’re looking for a Repair Center Specialist with experience in apparel repair, tailoring, alterations, sewing, or garment construction to join our team in Aurora, Colorado. Whether your background is as a tailor, seamstress, sewer, alterations specialist, apparel repair technician, or industrial sewing machine operator, you’ll use your technical skill, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities to repair outdoor apparel and gear to our quality standards. From replacing zippers and patching well-loved garments to operating industrial sewing equipment, your craftsmanship will directly support our commitment to durability, circularity, and reducing waste.

If you take pride in making things last, enjoy solving the puzzle of a challenging repair, and appreciate work where quality matters as much as productivity, we’d love to meet you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Complete high-quality apparel repairs, garment alterations, zipper replacements, patching, and sewing repairs on outdoor apparel and gear

  • Operate industrial sewing machines, sergers, button-press machines, and heat tools safely and effectively

  • Inspect your work carefully to ensure repairs meet expectations for quality, function, and appearance

  • Balance productivity expectations with the craftsmanship and attention each repair requires

  • Track repair activity and productivity accurately

  • Monitor supplies and equipment and communicate needs to the Repair Center Supervisor

  • Keep your workspace organized, safe, and ready for efficient work

Team Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Repair Center Supervisor to meet team goals and deadlines

  • Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to support a positive product-user experience

  • Help develop repair tutorials and resources that build consistency and shared skills across the team

  • Contribute to a supportive, respectful, and inclusive team environment

Circularity & Sustainability

  • Apply repair techniques that extend product life and help keep quality outdoor gear in use

  • Look for thoughtful, durable repair solutions that minimize unnecessary waste

  • Support Fenix Outdoor’s broader circularity and sustainability initiatives through your everyday work

  • Advanced garment repair skills, including zipper replacement and patching

  • Strong machine-sewing and hand-sewing skills

  • Experience operating industrial sewing machines, sergers, button-press machines, and high-heat tools

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship

  • The ability to organize and prioritize multiple repairs while meeting productivity expectations

  • Strong time-management, documentation, and problem-solving skills

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team

  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel for basic tracking and reporting
