About the Role

Hello, RNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a School Nurse supporting students across a district in Aurora, CO. In this role, you’ll oversee student health services, manage day-to-day care in health rooms, and support overall student wellness. This is a great fit for nurses interested in pediatrics, public health, or transitioning into a school-based setting.

What You’ll Do

• Triage and manage student injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans

• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance

• Communicate with families regarding student health needs and updates

• Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and special education teams

• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate

• Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols

• Monitor immunization compliance and support health screenings

• Promote health education and wellness initiatives
   

What We’re Looking For

• Active Colorado State RN license

• School Nursing CDE or ability to obtain, if required 

• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check

• Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health preferred

• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills
