About the Role

Hello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support high school students in an Autism Spectrum (ASD) program in Aurora, CO. In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction, develop and implement IEPs, and create a structured, supportive learning environment where students can build academic, social, and functional skills. You'll collaborate with a dedicated school team while receiving support from a therapist-owned company that understands school-based services.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs

• Provide specialized academic, behavioral, and functional instruction

• Create a structured classroom environment that promotes student success

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families

• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed

• Complete progress reports and maintain compliant documentation

• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs

• Utilize evidence-based strategies and technology to enhance student learning and engagement
   

What We're Looking For

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement

• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

• School-based experience preferred, but not required
