Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Aurora, CO 80011Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $107,000.00 - $127,000.00 Salary/yearTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: DayJob Category: Information TechnologyJob Overview The Linux Systems Administrator will partner with customer's Network Infrastructure team on the management and monitoring of customer's network infrastructure. This role combines deep Red Hat expertise and hands-on technical leadership with systems automation and data center operations, ideal for someone who wants to drive infrastructure excellence while mentoring team members. Responsibilities and Duties: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Linux environments with primary focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Puppet, Ansible, or similar configuration management tools. Manage physical and virtual server infrastructure across data center environments. Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation. Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance to team members. Perform hardware installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting in data center facilities. Implement security best practices, patch management, and compliance requirements. Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and optimication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure initiatives. Primary Location(s): Buckley SFB, Aurora, CO QualificationsRequired Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Currently active TS/SCI security clearance issued by a U.S. Government Entity Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related program of study; or equivalent, relevant, and progressively responsible experience in lieu of degree Must be able to provide 24/7 on-call support on an as-needed basis Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience Linux system administration experience with strong Red Hat focus Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, or similar) Understanding of networking fundamentals, storage systems, and backup solutions Proven experience with automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or SaltStack) Hands-on data center experience including hardware installation and troubleshooting Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or mentoring capacity (team lead, senior admin, or management) Must have excellent problem solving and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topic Must have confidence and be able to easily build relationships with leadership and colleagues outside of your team Must possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions and come up with out-of-the-box solutions Must be proactive in providing feedback and be enthusiastic in sharing your knowledge with others Must be capable of prioritizing your own tasks and potentially the tasks of others while making sure deadlines are met Highly Desired Qualifications: Experience in a 24/7 lab environment Relevant technical certifications (i.e., CompTIA, MSCE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), F5, etc.) Experience with containerization (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
